Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about us and the credit repair process.
Can you help me?
If you’ve been denied loans, credit cards, jobs, or anything else, as a result of bad credit, we can help. Our primary service creates disputes highly tailored to target your specific negative items with the end goal of permanent deletion from your reports, ultimately boosting your scores. For those suffering from a lack of positive credit history, we will layout a step-by-step plan to build new credit.
How long will I be waiting for my credit to be fixed?
By law, no credit repair business is allowed to guarantee results. That said, on average our clients expect to see about a 103 point increase over 180 days. Many clients can expect to see a significant boost within the first 30-45 days of service.
Why can’t you give a set timeline?
If we assume that your largest issue is collection or charge-off accounts, the reason is simply because there are tens of thousands of debt collection agencies that own those accounts and each one of them operates differently. Some may require a full 6 months of disputing while others will delete the information from your reports after our first dispute.
Can you delete the items on my report hurting my scores?
The short answer is yes. We have deleted virtually every type of negative item on a credit report. While this is not an exhaustive list of the items that can hurt your credit worthiness, here are some of the items we’re talking about: bankruptcies (7 & 13), tax liens (state & federal), judgements, public records, collections and chargeoffs (any type of loan, even federal student loans, medical, credit cards, utilities, phone service, etc.), late payments, hard inquiries, child support, repos, foreclosures, names, addresses, ssns, and more. We’ve deleted every type of tradeline imaginable. If it’s hurting your scores we can go after it.
What credit reporting agencies do you remove information from?
We dispute information with the 3 major Bureaus called TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. These are the companies that lenders get their credit reports from. For those looking for help getting bank accounts we can also assist with that and dispute ChexSystems.
What is TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax exactly?
Just how you pay a monthly fee to get service to Netflix, lenders pay these Bureaus a yearly fee so that they can pull information about you in the form of credit reports. By using our service and cleaning your credit report of negative items, lenders won’t disqualify you for getting the loans you need (or the credit cards or job you need).
Can you tell me a little more about FICO and credit scores?
FICO is an algorithm created by the Fair Isaac Corporation. This algorithm generates a number between 300-850 that represents all of the items on your credit report. The higher the number the lower the risk you are and the more willing lenders will be to work with you. 30% of the score is made up of amounts owed, 10% is made up of new credit, 15% is made up of the age of the accounts, 10% is a mix of different kinds of credit you have, and the final 35% is your payment history. All other scores are typically called FAKO scores as they’re fairly irrelevant since lenders don’t use them.
How legal is all of this?
100% legal. The ability to dispute and challenge negative information is granted to you under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). All credit repair businesses are regulated under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). You may have seen a warning about credit repair companies — they pop up in the media and on local government websites from time to time. Unfortunately, that’s a byproduct of one too many fraudsters entering the industry at one time or another, typically taking advantage of consumers in a rush to get a home or car loan. You can typically identify these fraudulent companies by the simple fact that they are more than happy to guarantee results and that they often require payment up front, both of which are forbidden under the CROA.
Do I have any guarantees?
If after 90 days of service we’re not able to permanently remove any of the negative items harming your credit, we will provide a full refund of any and all fees. As far as we know, we are the only credit repair company that offers a guarantee of this kind.
